Checklist for Sellers


Exterior – Curb Appeal

  • Paint the home exterior (trim , door, shutters, masonry)
  • Power wash siding, masonry, clean windows
  • Repair cracks in the driveway/ sidewalk, clean any stains (vehicle fluid leaks)
  • Mow and water the lawn, trim trees and shrubs until home is sold
  • Clean/ repair any sagging or filled gutters or downspouts and make sure water is diverted AWAY from house
  • Replace any MISSING or BAD roof shingles and any broken windows
  • Make sure all stairs and handrails are not loose
  • Build up grading around house where there is ponding



  • Clean home thoroughly and get rid of clutter
  • Polish wood and vinyl floors, spot clean all carpets
  • Clean or paint all door/window frames from fingerprints
  • Wipe down ALL appliances especially where hands touch them
  • Check ALL doors/ windows for proper operation
  • Check ALL smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are working properly
  • Secure squeaky floors
  • Replace old caulking around bathtubs/sinks/windows/ toilet (where meets floor)
  • Remove stains from bathtubs/sinks/toilets
  • Repair any leaking faucets
  • Leave all curtain and blinds open for light and replace old light bulbs
  • Put air fresheners throughout the house to cover up any smells YOU may not notice, the buyers ALWAYS point that out
